About Us
The Tuskegee Youth Safe Haven, Inc. was created by Stanley Horn of Chicago, Illinois. He was a civil rights worker, a veteran and a community organizer. Safe Haven was established in 2005 and has grown to conduct work with youth and families across America.
It works with the school system, law enforcement and other civic groups to bring resources and services to families in need. Its staff were trained by the U.S. Justice Department in Community Policing to reduce crimes in public housing communities and other locations with high risk youth.
The Safe Haven program combines academic reinforcement, with recreation and nutrition / health education to create safe environments for youth to grow and develop.
